City Council Meetings - Second Wednesday of Every Month

Just a friendly reminder that City of Sun Council Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm in the City Council Chambers - 11th E. Division Street. The public is welcome to attend.
Morning Sun July 4th Festivities
Begins: 6/29/2025 - 10:30am
Ends: 7/5/2025 - after the street dance
Join us in Morning Sun for the annual July 4th festivities
Starting on Sunday, June 29 at 10:30 with Commmunity Church Service, 11:00 Hometown Pride Lunch and Bingo to Follow at 1:00pm
July 3rd-1:00pm Story Hour, 4:30pm Alumni Gathering & Dinner, 8:30pm Rec Vehichle Lighted Parade
July 4th- 6:30am start your day with a delicious breakfast at the American Legion Building, Activities ALL Morning uptown, 3:00pm Mile Long Parade, Followed by horseshoe tournament at the Park, Methodist Church Ice Cream Social & Food Vendors,
Evening Entertainment starts at 7:00pm Followed by the Fireworks at Dusk.
Wrap up the holiday weekend on Saturday with a Puzzle SOlving Adventure at 9:00am, Mellinger Memorial Library Historic Recognition @ 1:000pm. Dance the night away and socialize at the THE KERR SPOT Street Dance @ 6:00pm and if you want to relax a little there will be a garden tour at 6:30.
